What's New for 2023?
Few changes are made to the new Suburban model. This year, the highly capable Super Cruise hands-free driving tech becomes available on Premier and High Country trims. New exterior colors are also available: Silver Sage Metallic, Sterling Gray Metallic, and Radiant Red Tintcoat. Lastly, the Suburban LS, LT, RST, and Premier can be equipped with a blacked-out grille.
Performance
Three powertrains litter the Suburban's engine lineup. The base model is a 5.3-liter 355 horsepower V8 that gets a combined 15 mpg. While higher trims come standard with a 6.2-liter 420 hp V8 that gets a combined 20 mpg. And as an added option, every trim except the Z71 can utilize a turbocharged 3.0-liter inline 277 hp six-cylinder diesel engine that gets 21/27 mpg.
Technology
Many technological features are available across the many trims of the Chevy Suburban. An eight-inch touchscreen and Wi-Fi hotspot comes standard. While optional entertainment features include a rear-seat entertainment system with two 12.6-inch screens mounted behind the front seats.
Safety Features
When traveling to the Lincoln Highway Experience or the Winnie Palmer Nature Reserve, the Chevy Suburban will provide plenty of advanced driver-aids to help keep you safe. Forward collision mitigation, lane-keeping assistance, and parking sensors all come standard. While Super Cruise and traffic-adaptive cruise control are available in higher trims.
