What's New for 2023?
The Ford Mustang offers a wealth of new updates this year, including style and powertrain changes and new optional performance packages. There's an all-new model called the Dark Horse, which boasts an impressive 500-hp Coyote V-8 engine. While trims like the Mustang GT and EcoBoost trims, receive optional Performance Pack equipment upgrades. These upgrades include front strut-tower braces, Torsen limited-slip differential, wider wheels and tires, larger Brembo brakes, and a MagneRide active-dampening suspension.
Performance
As one of the oldest muscle cars still on the market, the new Ford Mustang doesn't disappoint when it comes to its engine options. Powering this model is a turbocharged 2.3-liter 300-hp four-cylinder EcoBoost engine attached to a six-speed manual or ten-speed automatic transmission. This combination allows the Mustang to get around 21/32 miles per gallon.
Other engine options include a 2.3-liter 332 hp engine, a 5.0-liter 450 hp V8, and an enhanced V8 that offers 470 horsepower.
Technology
While the Ford Mustang provides a strong engine, it isn't the only feature that helps make this model popular. Across its various trims are amenities that make for a fun and comfortable driving experience. These include a 13.2-inch infotainment screen using Ford's Sync 4 software, Amazon Alexa with voice commands, and ambient interior lighting.
